Since 2009, the Honourable Minister has served the people of Ellembelle in Parliament and Ghana in four ministerial portfolios, always with the same instinct: stewardship over ownership.

Leading a national reform agenda on responsible mining, land administration and forest protection. Priorities include community consent, environmental restoration, and transparent revenue frameworks that ensure Ghana’s natural wealth serves the generation that follows.

2013–2017

Minister for Petroleum

Led Ghana's upstream petroleum policy through a pivotal period of production growth, contract review, and local content advancement.

2011–2013

Minister for Energy and Petroleum

Oversaw the integrated energy portfolio during the country's transition to a full oil-producing economy.

2009–2011

Deputy Minister for Energy

First ministerial appointment; foundational work on power sector planning and Ghana's emerging oil and gas framework.

Member of Parliament

Ellembelle. Since 2009. Uninterrupted.

The Honourable Minister has represented Ellembelle in Parliament without pause for over sixteen years, through floor debates, committee work, formal submissions, and countless quiet conversations in the constituency.
